Begginer Quran Students

In today’s topic, we will discuss how to encourage students toward Islamic learning. Children often hesitate to learn something new, sometimes due to fear or lack of understanding. The best approach is to explain with kindness, sit close to them, talk openly, and teach through simple stories they can relate to. This method creates interest, motivation, and a positive attitude toward Islamic learning.

How to start Norani Qaida

As we discussed earlier, before learning to read the Holy Quran, it is essential for children to understand each word properly, which is why Norani Qaida is taught first. The correct method of teaching Norani Qaida begins with explaining its meaning, importance, and how it helps in reading the Quran correctly. Children should be taught each concept like a simple story, and whatever they learn should be revised by asking them to read it back, so their foundation becomes stronger over time. Some words in Norani Qaida are similar in sound and tone, so these require extra focus and practice.

Basic Tajweed Rules

Tajweed refers to the rules that ensure the Quran is recited correctly, and it includes principles such as Qalqalah, Ikhfa, Ghunna, and several other rules. These rules were not invented by anyone; they were simply categorized to make learning easier. We teach these rules to children so they can understand how each letter and sound should be pronounced. Reciting the Quran without understanding Tajweed is against the proper method of Quran recitation, which is why learning and understanding Tajweed is extremely important.

Daily Revision Techniques

Daily revision techniques are extremely important. Just as in worldly studies a child revises one chapter each day, similarly revising one Tajweed rule or one page of the Quran daily is more effective than giving children too much at once, which only burdens them and prevents proper memorization. It is better to sit with them, explain calmly, and then reward them occasionally—not every day—so they learn for the gifts not sake of deen. These techniques help children complete Norani Qaida and Quran reading smoothly and correctly, without mistakes.

A Message For Parents

This is a message for parents: please act upon these guidelines, because InshaAllah your children will benefit from them and consider it a precious gift from you. After you leave this world, their duas will become a source of peace, comfort, and Jannah for you. We hope that, for the sake of Allah’s pleasure, you will surely raise your children to become callers and followers of Deen.
