“Allah Almighty has sent us into this world for His worship, and He has explained everything through the Quran and His prophets. Every good deed and its method has been beautifully taught in our Deen. Some of these methods are mentioned below.”Allah has created a special system for this world and has made everything for a specific purpose. Allah says in the Quran that He created humans and jinn for His worship. Therefore, it is essential that we spend the maximum time of our life in Allah’s worship, avoid getting trapped in the desires of this world, and do good deeds in this world for our Hereafter so that we can achieve success on the Day of Judgment.
Below are some daily Islamic rules that, if we follow, can help us achieve success in our life.
Why Fajr Prayer is important for us
“Fajar is the first prayer of our day, and its importance is greater than the other prayers, although each prayer has its own value. Fajr holds extra virtue because we sacrifice our comfort and sleep, make wudu in the cold, and put in effort for the sake of Allah. We all know that our religion is the name of sacrifice, and the greater the sacrifice, the greater the reward.
Therefore, waking up for Fajr, making it a habit, and encouraging others to do the same is essential for all of us.”
Advantages of performing Fajr Prayer
Fajr prayer is one of Allah’s commands that requires the greatest sacrifice from a person, yet brings the most reward. A person sacrifices sleep and wakes up early in the morning, which is why it is a divine command from Allah that must be fulfilled. The Mu’azzin says in Fajr: “Prayer is better than sleep”—sacrificing sleep is difficult, but it carries immense benefits. Some advantages of this sacrifice are:
- By performing Fajr prayer, Allah’s help remains with a person throughout the day.
- Allah makes the difficulties of the day easier for the person.
- Performing other acts of worship during the day becomes easier.
- The heart and mind stay pure, and the person remains engaged in good deeds.
- From morning till night, the heart and mind think positively, and the person reflects before committing any sin.
Disadvantages of Skipping Fajr Prayer
Just as Fajr prayer has many benefits, neglecting it also brings serious harm. Often, due to carelessness or insufficient sleep, a person misses Fajr, which affects the entire day. As mentioned earlier, Fajr is so essential that it sets the course of a person’s whole day. Some negative consequences of leaving Fajr are:
- By missing Fajr, Allah’s help is removed from the person.
- Missing Fajr makes a person feel reluctant to perform other prayers during the day.
- Even easy tasks become difficult for the person.
- The heart and mind lose interest in any work, feeling lazy or irritated instead.
- The heart and mind become dull, and the desire to do wrong arises within them.

Daily Quran Recitation
“The time of Fajr prayer is very precious, as Allah’s mercy descends during this period. It is a time when reciting the Quran and acting upon it brings great reward. Fajr prayer requires sacrificing sleep, and at this time we should seek Allah’s mercy.
Daily Quran recitation is essential, whether in the morning, evening, day, or night. Many people recite the Quran only during Ramadan, but we are commanded to read it throughout the year. For non-Hafiz students, at least half a Juz should be recited daily, and for Hafiz, three Juz are recommended. May Allah grant us all the ability to recite the Quran daily.”
Benefits of the Daily Quran Recitation
- Daily recitation of the Quran Pak brings light into a person’s heart.
- By reading the Quran Pak, a person realizes that they must die and will be held accountable for their deeds.
- Reading the Quran Pak every day increases Allah’s love and reduces the love of the world.
- On the Day of Judgment, the Quran Pak will intercede with Allah for the person who used to read it in this world.
- Reading the Quran Pak removes many difficulties from life and brings ease and comfort.
What happens if we skip the Quran Daily?
- By not reading the Quran, a person’s heart becomes lifeless, and they do not feel inclined toward good deeds.
- If a Hafiz of the Quran Pak does not revise the Quran, they forget it, and its punishment on the Day of Judgment is very severe.
- If in this world we do not properly maintain the recitation of the Quran Pak, the Quran Pak will pull us toward Hell.
- If the recitation of the Quran Pak is not properly maintained, a person’s heart becomes drawn toward wrong activities like songs and music.
Daily Morning Beneficial Duas
“Along with the Quran, morning time is important for reciting Masnoon Duas, which strengthen our faith in Allah. These include waking up, making wudu, and prayers for sunrise, health, and healing. They also include supplications to seek Allah’s help and to express gratitude. Therefore, we should recite these daily to maintain our connection with Allah.
“Reciting these duas should be done according to Allah’s command and the Prophet’s way, not according to personal choice, and it must be done sincerely for the sake of Allah.”
Benefits of Daily Morning Duas
- The person who consistently observes morning duas is protected by Allah from morning until evening.
- Through duas, a person draws closer to Allah, and that person becomes very beloved to Him.
- When a person is regular in duas, a thought arises before committing any sin: “I recited such blessed duas in the morning, and now I am about to sin,” and in this way they refrain from wrongdoing.
- There is such power in duas that they safeguard a person from satanic attacks, hardships, worries, and difficulties.

The First Sunnah Of The Day
“Although many Sunnahs exist, the first Sunnah of the day is to wake up at Fajr, get out of bed, recite the morning dua, and thank Allah for giving us another day. Despite our sins, He grants us a new day as an opportunity to do good deeds. The morning dua is part of the daily life supplications, and reflecting on it, this becomes the first Sunnah of the day. After this, one should follow the Sunnah by offering prayers and reciting the Quran.”
“Therefore, we should begin our day with this Sunnah so that our whole day is pleasant and good, and we continue to act upon the true Sunnahs throughout the day.”
Fulfilling the first Sunnah of the day brings the benefit that a person remains mindful of Sunnah throughout the entire day. In every action, they try to adopt the way of the Prophet (ﷺ) and naturally protect themselves from wrongdoings.
This happens because when someone begins their day with obedience, Allah purifies their heart, keeps it spiritually clean, and grants them the ability to stay away from evils.
May Allah grant us all the ability to perform righteous deeds and protect ourselves from wrong actions. Ameen.
